I am the type of person that does not like the feel of a heavy piece of jewelry. Some of my friends have Roliflex Mariners and although they are very nicely put together, they are very uncomfortable. If you want something classy, somewhat understated, and very thin and comfortable, this is the watch! I receive compliments on this watch constantly at at this price ($79) it cant be beat! A Great Watch  On: 2008-10-15I like to buy watches for gifts,they are a great gift.This watch,is great, easy to read,keeps great time.No complaints from anyone that I bought them for presents.They love this watch! Stylin' On: 2008-08-22The watch is awesome. I love it. Adjusting the size is super easy, the face is a stunning color of blue and it keeps perfect time. No complaints from me. Good deal for a titanium watch...Problem with clasp  On: 2008-08-12I bought watch for 80$ about a year ago. I must say this is an amazing deal for a titanium watch which usually retail for $300+ from other brands. Positives: -Titanium, which is stronger and a lot lighter than steel. -Attractive, but I was surprised that not all who saw it were impressed. -feels very tough -mesh titanium band, which is flexible light and durable -light as a feather, sometimes I dont know Im wearing it (litteraly) -low price Negatives: -Will it last? -clasp is riduculas in case of expanding and shortening, I still cant tighten the clasp to my arms fit. -some people may not like its looks overall very good deal on a light weight titanium good looking watch Minimalist design for use in any occasion On: 2008-08-06Thin, lightweight and distinct. Different from any other watch in the market. Isnt scratch proof. Beauty is only skin deep  On: 2008-07-22Though a devout Rolex man, I still fell for the elegant beauty of the radiant blue dial smoothly merged into that slender black band. But, alas as with some women, the beauty was only skin deep. It quit running after less than a year, with only about ten nights out on the town. A new battery provided a short rebound relationship with time, but the same inevitable result. Now i have to shell out postage + $9 for repair of a watch that should have worked in the first place. Doesnt sit well with me. But they dont make a black Rolex... The Danish are too laid back for precision anyway, leave it to the swiss or japanese... Amazing watch...Issue with Clasp On: 2008-07-07Well..I have had this watch for almost 7 months now & its really amazzing, light & has caught attention pretty quickly. I would have given it 5/5 if not for its clasp. The Clasp has worn out quite a bit in the 6 months & looks dull steel instead of jet black. I am hoping they would be good enough to provide a replacement to have my faith restored. Skagen 233LTMN watch  On: 2008-06-19I bought this watch because it is slim and stylish. However, it did not function out of the box. I had to take it to a jeweler to verify that the battery worked and watch did not. I called Skagen and they said I had to ship it back to then, at my expense, This for a new, non-working product! This has been a very negative experience with a lot of hassle and I still do not have a watch. I would not buy this product again. Minor design faults but still good value On: 2008-06-17This is the second watch I have bought as like the slim design and titanium band (I get a skin reaction from the Nickle in ordinary Stainless Steel). The watch is light, easy to read and accurate. Unfortunately the black paint(?) comes off from sweat and contact with your skin - particularly on the clip. While the watch still looks good from the outside they should have used a better coating. The clip edges are angular and you have to be carefull not to catch the clip on clothes, etc. Despite the minor faults that couldbe easily rectified if you dont like big clunky watches then this is a stylish design at reasonable value. Greay watch On: 2008-05-27I like minimalistic yet great looking watches. The design of the watch is very simple but yet the guys at Skagen managed to make it look very elegant. The choice of colors is great. The blue dial really does make a difference on the way you look at the watch, it captivated me the first time I looked at it. I have read many reviews of people complaining about the watch locking mechanism and let me tell you, theres nothing complicated about it, take a look at the manual and it shouldnt take you more than two minutes to set it up. Once it is in the locked position nothing is going to make it come off. My only complaints are that the clasp is made out of steel but hopefully I wont be taking this watch off very often, and that it has no seconds hand, when it arrived I thought it was dead but then I remembered reading that one guy had to look at it for a minute to realize that it was actually working. I wish it had the equivalent of Eco drive, it would make this the perfect watch. nice watch On: 2008-05-09The watch was a gift for my 21yr old brother. Its beautiful. Its smaller than most mens watches and the design is sleek. The seller, MY TIME PEICE, was very helpful, responsive. Im pleased. good deal On: 2008-05-08The most lightweight watch at an excellent price. You cannot beat this titanium strapped watch anywhere with an excellent brand Name. Bullet time? On: 2008-04-23This is a very nice watch. I bought it for the super light weight titanium mesh band and thin face.......bascially because its awesome. I bought it a few weeks ago.....and yesterday morning, I noticed it was 5min behind in time. I dont know if this is due to the watch, or for some other reason. I reset it to the proper time and Ill be keeping a watchful eye on it (pun intended) to see if it slows down again. Other than that, great watch Mesh Band Does Not Hold Up Well On: 2008-04-21I bought this watch for my boyfriend for Christmas. He loved the watch, I loved the watch, everybody loved the watch. He would get comments on it from friends, co-workers and complete strangers. Its a great looking watch for the price. Now the watch is about 4 months old and the band has developed snags in it that catch on clothing. Hes already ruined two shirts. Im going to try to see if I can find another band for it, but Im really disappointed. Granted he does wear it every day, but a watch band should hold up for more than 4 months. sleek and accurate On: 2008-04-16I bought this watch for my boy friend few months ago. He loves it. It looks thin and elegant with simplicity. the clock runs accurately. Since its black it has a sporty feel to it, but the titanium mesh and the design makes is go with any formal wear as well. The only complaint he has is that it doesnt have a back light or something that light it up at night, and it doesnt have a calender. Other than those, he really likes it and never leaves home without it. Great light flat watch On: 2008-04-10I bought this watch because I wanted a light flat watch and really liked the look. I am very happy with the watch and DO NOT agree that the clasp is a problem. Once you get the hang of it - it is a snap and very easy to manage. Skagen Men's Titanium Watch On: 2008-03-26This watch is the best time piece I have purchased. It is sleek, nice look, goes with plenty of my outfits. I have received many comments from my colleagues at work. I would definitely purchase another one of these watches. quality issue On: 2008-03-23First, I like the watch. Second, I like the watch. Third, I like the watch. Why? Its light, thin, looks good, reads well, and I hardly know its there. As for the clasp, yes its a little clumsy, so if youre a klutz, look for another style. So whats the problem? Inside the crystal, there is a very thin, almost imperceptible wire gasket of some sort that delamnated from the perimeter housing. It started small and within a month or so, collided with the hands, and brought the timing mechanism to a halt. "Please enclose $8.95 to cover return postage, insurance and handling." When you factor in my shipping cost, time and $8.95, I think you understand my rating. Nevertheless, I found a box, made out a check, and am trekking off to the post office. Cest la vie. Quite. On: 2008-02-27The watch is actually thinner than I had assumed from first glance, which is a nice change. My last watch was an Invicta Speedway which, though very nice, was a beast of a watch. My wrist isnt very big so the easily adjustable band on the Skagen was a welcome feature. It took me about 5 minutes to figure out the clasp and adjust the band, all you need is a small screwdriver and its really self explanatory from looking at the mechanism. I wouldve given it five stars, but it refuses to make me breakfast in bed, so I figure theres room for improvement. :) Beautiful Item On: 2008-02-26A very beautiful item, I bought it as a gift for my boyfriend and he loves it. Great for any guy who wants a good, reliable watch. Clasp On: 2008-02-08I would have to agree with most of the other reviews of this watch. It looks very nice, but the clasp leaves much to be desired. I didnt have any problems adjusting the tightness or closing the clasp, however, it continually comes unhitched and even when it is closed you can hear it rattle. It doesnt really close firmly or tightly. Also, while the watch is made of titanium, the clasp itself is made of stainless steel (I just thought Id throw that in there in case that influenced anyones decision). I bought the watch because it was light and made of titanium and overall I am happy with it. I think, were I to purchase another watch, I would stick with the Skagen brand. It seems well made and keeps good time. I would however go for one of the more expensive ones. Though I like the band, my girlfriend thought it was cloth when she first saw it and if you are planning on wearing it for something formal you dont want people thinking youre wearing a cloth banned watch...I also think its a little small for my wrist; its not as bulky as your usual mens watch. Overall its a fairly good product. Its super thin, very light (almost weightless feeling on your wrist), but next time I will most likely go with a different band. And Skagen really needs to redesign their clasp so it is more reliable. Wonderful Watch! On: 2008-02-04I bought this watch for my husband for our anniversary- hes never really worn watches, and loves his titanium wedding band, so I thought this watch would be a great one for him. He loves it! Unreplacable battery for Skagen Watches-(PATHETIC DESIGN) On: 2008-02-01The novel feature of an UN-REPLACEABLE battery is clearly a design objective of Skagen. So they think you will invest 1-2 months and a hand full of cash to return it, OR just buy a second watch. I pointed out this to Skagen customer service in Nevada. I also pointed out that this was the LAST watch of theirs I would buy and the next would be a Seiko. Unfortunately I own two of these watches. I bough the second before the battery of the first failed. MORAL: Look on the back of the watch and see is there is a small depression adjacent to the battery cover. No depression=DO NOT BUY it. Skagen obviously thinks screwing the customer is a good idea. One watch repair place said it was a throw away. For $100, I do not think so. Skagen said it took a special tool to open case. Who has this? Only they do, as they do not sell tool. JOKE IS ON YOU!!if you bought this, as I did. The idea seems to be, they do not solicit REPEAT business. A cheap Casio for $30 has an easily replaceable battery. Marketing designed this watch, not an watch engineer. A real joke of a product. Looks great, just throw it away when it stops, and BUY another. NOT ME!! Skagen Men's Watch On: 2008-02-01The watch is beautiful and looks better in person than on screen. However, all the comments about the difficulty with the band and clasp are true. It took my husband a few days before he really got the hang of it. Husband's Christmas Present On: 2008-01-18My husbands one requirement for a watch is that it be thin. This was one of the few watches I found that filled that requirement. Many of the others I found were dress watches and he needed something for daily wear. He loves it. He receives compliments daily on what a great looking watch it is. It really is an eye catcher! I found this watch in a jewelry store. While shopping there I kept comparing it to others in their large selection and decided this was the one. I came home and found the same watch on Amazon for almost half the price. BEAUTIFUL WATCH... On: 2008-01-18I purchased this watch as a Christmas gift. When it arrived I was quite happy with it, but not as happy as the gift receiver! This is a very handsome mens watch. The picture on-line does it no justice. Dress casually and this watch looks great. Dress up and this watch looks very rich. It is light weight, the titanium mesh band is great and the blue face is perfect. If you want to purchase a watch for yourself or someone else you cannot go wrong. This watch looks way more expensive than the reasonable price that youll pay for it on Amazon. Sleek, Classy Watch On: 2008-01-08I have never owned a titanium watch before and my main reason for getting this one (aside from the fact that I thought it was very sharp with its thinness and iridescent blue face) is because the finish and plating of many watches I have owned wear and deteriorate from perspiration and skin oils; and my hope was that a titanium case would overcome this. Since I havent owned this watch that long, I obviously cant review its durability in that regard, but for the price and looks of it, I dont regret my decision to order it. I would like to submit another review in 6 months or a year to give that assessment. I hadnt heard of Skagen watches before seeing these on your site and Im glad I checked them out. If I knew and was satisfied with the durability of the finish, I would have given it 5 stars. skagen men's watch On: 2008-01-07The watch is beautiful, sleek and stylish. The only drawback is it is hard to do up the clasp. After you do it for a while it becomes easier, but it is not all that user friendly. Skagen Black Titanium Watch On: 2007-11-25Very classy watch. No problem with ordering and receiving watch. Small problem with clasp but should be easily corrected. Great watch!!! The first thing I like is that it is very sleek, very thin and light design, and almost feels weight less on the hand. The height profile is so low and the titanium so light weight you hardly realize its on your wrist. The face does seem to scratch easily and the black finish on the clasp has started to rub off ...in just a few weeks. I attribute that to my wrist wresting on my desk at work...spend many hours each day working on a PC. Nice watch for work..but you have to be careful as it gets marked and scuffed pretty easily...and being black its noticeable. Silver might have been a better choice. I shall only say that my experience was similar. Who needs instructions, when you can take it to a kiosk at the mall and have them figure it out for you? I put this watch on my "fat chance" list for last Christmas, with the full anticipation that Id have to buy it for myself in January. But, "surprise, surprise" my sister came through for me. And the watch was all that Id hoped for. I have always believed that the classiest watch need not have a dozen dials, and instructions the size of the yellow pages! Simple is best. I dont even really want tick marks. I just want to know which way is up. And although the lack of a second hand means you have to keep an eye on it for a time (no pun intended), it shouldnt take too long to know when its stopped. This watch is the thinnest Ive ever owned, or seen. Its so classy, IMHO, that I save it for special occasions (which is pretty much anytime Im not at work). Ive never been so happy with a watch decision. The only thing Id change is to have a dial in blood red. But blue still looks great! If you like simple elegance, this is the watch for you. Even if you can afford more expensive watches. And if youre actually in that situation, get more then one Skagen! Wonderful Watch On: 2007-10-22It is difficult to see what the watch looks like in any pictures. The bezel is black and just like the wrist band but does have a very reflective shine. It does not look green like in some of the pictures (gun metal). The best part about the watch is how light it feels on the wrist. Skagen's are the Best On: 2007-10-08The Skagens are beautiful watches they are 5mm thin; if you like a thin watch that is upscale but but less than $200 - this is the deal. I own 7 skagens and they all have a good look. I am partial to the titanium - you need to be careful with the darker titaniums they can get nicked and I will need to replace a band on my copper/brown one in a year or so. I hope they continue the line with new styles and maybe we can make it to 4mm. I had to return one for a loose 2nd hand. Amazon is not shipping these properly - they have air pillows on top and the watch on the bottom - not a good setup. The air pillows need to go around the whole watch. The face is a burnished metallic blue which changes colour at different angles. The strap is black fine mesh. The watch is very slim and overall is a fabulous piece of "male jewellery" I just love this watch and will buy more Skagens. With no second hand, the face is very easy to read. I dont know - to meet a lumber companys quota of slaughtered defenseless baby trees, I suppose. Her next reaction, on seeing the timepiece itself, was, "What a gorgeous watch! But I dont need one." Um, its for me, actually, I answered. "You mean, you wouldnt buy me a watch?" Sigh. And this after Id reluctantly forked over fifteen bucks to have her ancient wrist ticker cleaned to a lustrous shine. The 3 cm diameter face of MY new watch is a rich steel blue that appears to radiate brilliant cerulean rays as you turn it in the light. I immediately noticed that it has no second hand, a fact that made it impossible to quickly discern if time was standing still or not, especially as it emits no ticking sound FX. After contemplating the minute hand for awhile, I was satisfied that I wouldnt have to take it to the watch repair shop for a battery. In any case, the absence of a second hand doesnt distress me unduly, though I wont be able to time the chugs at the next beer guzzling contest that I blunder into. The face is mounted in a shiny, jet black casing which is, at its thickest, one-half centimeter thin. The watch weighs in at 43 grams, or 1.51678 ounces if you havent yet gone metric. The classy, black mesh band is approximately 1.75 cm (0.6889764 inches) wide and 23.5 cm (9.251969 inches) in length including the clasp. According to the engraving on the back of the case, the timepiece is water resistant up to 3 atmospheres (.02204392 ton/square inch). Cool. The only problem I foresee will be strapping the watch to my wrist in the morning, especially if the tremors of advancing age and senile dementia are particularly severe that day. And if its still dark out and I cant turn on the light because the wife is still getting her beauty sleep, the watch will have to go into my pocket for a more illuminated opportunity. Slimline Titanium Watch On: 2007-09-14Outstanding.... Looks and feels great. I am alergic to most metals, but, I havent had a rash under my watch since I have been wearing this titanium watch. MD Best Basic On: 2007-09-13Was looking for a basic mens dress watch and found what I was looking for with this watch. Very simple and basic (no second hand) but yet stylish and attractive. Very satisfied with this watch. Over a year now and still ticking On: 2007-09-10Its been more than a year and still going strong. Keeps time perfectly, no battery issues, and still looks great even after banging it against a myriad of things :) The one, tiny issue Ive had with the watch is with the band - Somehow a small part (.5cm or less) of the weave in a corner where it joins the bezel came slightly unwound. Not a big deal, a couple seconds of bending and all was good again. All in all, a great, stylish, lightweight low profile watch. Very thin and light Watch On: 2007-08-04This is a very nice watch. Very thin, so its not clunky like a lot of other watches. Titanium black... and the band is black metal as well. Had to bend the clasp a bit to get it to hold, but now its perfect. And because its not an expansion braclet, its very easy to adjust the band to fit your wrist. I hope to have this for years to come, because Ive not seen anything like it. And the price is right too. When I saw this particular model for $69, I was excited. I read some other reviews on other watches and was cautious when some said that they purchased watches that were not in boxes and had no instructions. This watch arrived three days after I ordered it and was in a beautiful box just like I had bought at the store. It was brand new and I love it. On: 2006-09-04Ive had this watch for about a month and a half as of 9/4/06 and it has kept accurate time, I compare it to my Casio Waveceptor watch (MTG920DA-1) which calibrates itself every day. The dial is a beautiful blue color, which catches the light nicely. The easily adjusted band is comfortable, and the entire watch and band are so thin and light on my wrist. While I dont wear it every day, it has shown no signs of wear and has a good quality feel to it, though thin and light (once again).
