Very nice     On: 2008-05-17

I like this watch a lot. Its very stylish. Because of the titanium case it is so lightweight you hardly feel it. That, and the fact that its very thin. Only four stars because of the lack of a date feature and the water resistance is questionable. (Im careful to take it off in the shower.)
Great watch at great price     On: 2008-04-28

This watch compares to any high end watch with a sleek minimalist design that Scandinavians are famous for. The is almost too little for such a nice watch.
Best looking men's style watch and you won't lose your arm fighting off theives!     On: 2008-04-11

Skagen Performance Steel - Black All Weather Strap - Black Face

Best damn mens watch after a game of golf. You may be over-dressed with this Skagen but you wont be attacked by gangstas and thieves when they see it. Such is the respect this watch conveys to the informed and elegant. No better place to buy it than Amazon with free shipping guaranteed!
Sleek and Functional product from Skagen     On: 2008-02-27

As expected, the black titanium model turned out to be a superior product with excellent design and sleek finish. Th dial is simple and elegant. The mesh design and the metal used ensures that the strap lies very flat on the wrist.

I have owned a Skagen model prior to this and am convinced of the durability and quality of the Skagen line.
Skagen     On: 2008-02-10

This is my second Skagen watch purchased from Amazon.
The first one has been so great for several years, it still works great and I still use it but I just wanted a new one. The price is so great for the looks and quality of this watch, that I just had to have a new one.
Great watch!     On: 2008-02-07

Ordered mine Jan 28 and received it Feb 5. Other than having to resize the band a little, I have no complaints. The watch is beautiful, simple, light weight and so thin you forget that youre wearing it. Goodbye to the days of heavy, bulky metal watches!
Elegant and Unique     On: 2008-01-02

A beautiful watch that is thin, lightweight and hopefully durable. Ive only had it a week or so, but I really love wearing it. I find myself checking the time more often than I should. My only fear is that it will develop the same problem as some other Skagen Titaniums where the crystal falls out or explodes. But so far Im really happy with it.
Sleek and Stylish     On: 2007-12-31

This was a college graduation gift for my daughters boyfriend. He absolutely loved the watch and thought it looked very classy. You cant go wrong with a Skagen watch. They are affordable and look like they cost more than they actually do. I like them so much that everyone in the family has a Skagen. Many nice comments from people too.
Great Watch     On: 2007-12-26

The design on this is beautiful, slim and classy. The price was reasonable and the function is good. I would suggest it to any of my friends.
Nice looking Dress Watch     On: 2007-12-23

I really like the look of this watch. Im having trouble with the clasp not staying closed, but other than that, its perfect.
love the watch, love the price     On: 2007-08-31

I fell in love with this watch just by looking at it in a retail store, and trying it on just confirmed it. Of course, Amazons price was about half of the stores, so that convinced me.

Only problem is that you have to read the directions to figure out the band. The clasp is tricky the first time if you havent, but is very simple once you see the sequence.
Neat and Elegant     On: 2007-08-23

Good Watch, looks good very slim and light. For someone who does not want to shell out a boat-load of $s while still have good looking european watch. Granted you can get a Timex for cheaper but nothing comparable in looks and design to a Timex. It is a starting point towards the Swiss watches - Omegas, Rolexs,

For those who like who have the dough get a Seamaster ot submariner ;)
Fantastic     On: 2007-07-30

This is one of the nicest watches Ive ever owned. The slim/flat design of the watch makes it a pleasure to wear, and the titanium mesh band is comfortable. The watch is light enough that I barely notice Im wearing it. Add to that that it looks fantastic, this is a great product.
Expensive watch - Cheap clasp - Terrible packaging     On: 2007-06-19

This could be a very nice watch if the designer had spent as much effort in the design of the bracelet clasp as in the watch. The locking clasp is extremely difficult to use and is definitely not "heavy duty". Also - the packaging for this product was very poor - my watch arrived with all of the "protective containers" separated into multiple pieces in a box much larger than required. When I asked for another watch - the 2nd watch arrived with worse packaging than the first!
Great value -great looking watch

This watch has a sleek look and is very light. I have received several compliments from friends on how nice it looks. Keeps accurate time. Excellent value on Amazon too.

Great Skagen Watch
by: Anonymous    On: 2007-04-03

This is my second skagen titanium watch and both are great products. I have one silver and the latest is black. Both watches wear and feel great when worn, they look sleek and nice while being very durable, and yes, they keep excellent time. I am very impressed with the quality and will definitely have Skagen in mind when its time to purchase another watch. You will love this watch. You can wear it for style, for dress and casual; its a good fit for all occassions.
thin and sleek

great watch! I have had mine for several years. very elegant and very lightweight. The only issue I had with the watch is that the black mesh wears off over time. Eventually the whole band turns a metallic gray/black. I recently lost mine after several years of trouble free use and plan on buying a new one even with the worn band.....

Love It!

The watch is super thin; you barely know you are wearing it. In two weeks, I have had over 10 compliments!
Bought for my father - he loves it     On: 2007-02-16

Really thin and beautiful. The hands are quite readable at all angles (not like some of the other Skagen watches that have concentric ridges on the dial).
a combination of clever and sleek design     On: 2007-01-22

I bought this watch for my boyfriend, who had previously destroyed two other watches that Ive bought him. This watch is very durable. The black on the mesh band does not peel or scratch, even if your rough with it. The construction is tight and exact(no loose or shaky parts). The band doesnt pull out hair either which is a plus. The overall watch is very light as well (because it is titanium and not steel). But the best thing about the watch is the slim design. It looks even better than the picture because the watch has a very slim profile. It is actually so thin that it looks much like a bracelet or a watch with no battery (very high tech looking). When your wearing it, it only looks about 3 mm thick. My boyfriend loves the watch and was very impressed with it. It is a good buy for the price as well. I highly recommend it and Im a product designer.
Skagen watch just right     On: 2007-01-19

I like this watch because it is thin, thin, thin. It doesnt have a bulkly weight or size. The best part is that it looks sophisticated. It can be casual in casual clothes or can be very dressy when Im dressed up.
Skagen Titanium is Best Watch for Those with Nickel Allergies     On: 2007-01-18

My son has severe reactions to the nickel used in most watches. His flesh actually blisters in reaction. Finding a watch for him has been difficult until we stumbled upon Skagen Titanium. This is his second Skagen. He wore the first for years until it was damaged in a basketball game. (He refused to take it off!) Hes a junior in college now and I just purchased a second Skagen for him. In addition to being a beautiful watch, its an excellent time piece and we dont have to worry about any negative allergic reaction.
Thanks, Skagen
Great Watch     On: 2007-01-04

This is my third Skagen watch. The design is ultra thin and the titanium consturction makes it ultra light. The design is sophisticated enough for dress and sleek enough for sports wear. They have proven to be reliable timekeepers and I liked this one so much I bought two more for my sons. At less than $80.00 each they are a real bargin.
Favorite watch!     On: 2007-01-04

Ive had two Skagen Watches and have to say they are my favorite. I love the large face and the Titanium bracelet (you dont have to remove the watch in order to shower!). A lot of people have complimented me on the watch, too. Given the price and quality, you cant go wrong. If you ever need a part replaced, you just send it to Skagen; the work is completed in a couple of weeks! In summary: an elegant watch at a reasonable price.
Awesome and stylish     On: 2007-01-04

Everyone loves this watch. I wear it for work, and its sleek enough to look sharp. Women constantly compliment me on how it looks.
Super Thin     On: 2006-12-08

I read the reviews about people saying their watch scratched and lost paint on it. Mine has not done this with the exception of the clasp. Since the watch and band are titanium it should be anondized, meaning its not going to come off. However the clasp and a few other small parts (watch hands) are made of stainless steel, so they will start losing their finish after awhile.

After wearing this watch for a few weeks, I went and put on my old stainless steel Citizen watch. It felt huge and felt like it weighed a ton. I went and weighed each of them. The Citizen came in around 4.5oz, while the Skagen came in at around 1.5oz. It is also very thin, I used to not be able to wear a watch since typing on a computer all day the band would irritate me, have not had any problems with the Skagen.

One other thing to note, the picture for this item shows the Steel watch (you can see it on the face), if you want to see a picture of the titanium one, take the product number and go to skagens site, or google.

The skagen lost a star because of the paint coming off the clasp (not the band).
Beautiful design, but basically junk     On: 2006-11-02

I looked at a lot of these watches and the designs are really superb! However, like other reviewers have pointed out, the black on the band scratches easily. Also, mine arrived DOA. I took it to a watch repair place and had them check the battery. I was a bit suprised to see MADE IN CHINA stamped on the inside. They had to replace the movement. I am disappointed.

Great Slim Watch     On: 2006-09-27

I tried to get in touch with Skagen to get the actual grade of the watch, but even after 6 months, no answer. Titanium is strong but its alloy is greater (Aircraft Grade, of commercial grade is used in many cases for an almost scratchless effect). This may be only pure titanium (like a pure gold, softer, hypoallergenic and usually preffered, but its lasting quite nicely. I have worn this watch every other day and there are no scratches on the titanium or the crystal even after banging against walls and stainless steel.

The Stainless steel band obviously is not as great but i havent seen any scratches on it either. I am very happy with this watch and would recommend to anyone who doesnt want to spend too much. This watch is great quality and great design. Its shaped like a spaceship on the bottom kind of, so when its worn it looks even thinner than it actually is. I love it. Slim and elegant, perfect watch to wear to impress.

Nice watch, band sucks     On: 2006-06-24

I got this because I wanted a very thin watch at a reasonable price. It fits the bill well - attractive, thin, keeps time (of course). However, the paint on the band came off within a month or two, so now the band is silvery with a black tint instead of black.
VERY PLEASED     On: 2006-03-26

Lightweight, easy to see dial, comfortable and fits flat to the wrist. I would buy it again should I ever need a replacement.
