After a SWatch     On: 2008-06-28

My Slim Swatch ran out of batteries and I decided to buy a new watch. Ive never liked big watches and this one looked very thin, light and elegant. I didnt have high expectations when I bought it, but once I opened the little box it comes in, I fell in love with it. I get equal or more complimients from people about my Skagen than my Swatch. The Stainless steel strap is awesome and it can be adjusted so easily that there is no need to cut it like other watches. The watch came with the local time set already, that was amazing.
IMPRESSIVE     On: 2008-05-23

Impressive piece for the money. Really nice looking watch! Gave it to my brother for his birthday and he loved it. Would definitely purchase again! Very quick shipping too!
Another sleek and classy Skagen     On: 2008-04-28

Folllowing the style of Skagens other ultra slim line titanium mesh watches, this watch is a winner all the way. The finish is high polish metal on the watch and mesh band. The face is a pearly white, looking much more striking in real life than in the photo.
The overall look is very classy and expensive looking. Very slim and light on the wrist, this watch is a very dressy accessory.
Highly recommended.
Nice Watch, Weak Band     On: 2008-03-30

My wife bought me this watch 2 years ago. I have enjoyed the sleek fit and comfort, but have had nothing but problems with the band. I must admit, I am probably pretty hard on my watches, but I have had to replace the band 3 times now (at $25 a pop). What happens is if you kink the band in any way, the wires that make them up will start to fail leaving you with sharp edges that catch on your shirts, and anyone within arm shot of you. I have not been able to find another band that will fit this watch. Too bad because it really is a nice looking piece.
Slim, comfortable, but too delicate     On: 2008-03-04

The watch was a favorite of mine for a number of years. Lightweight, adjustable and breathable wristband; very slim. BUT, after the battery was replaced, the seal failed and the watch died. I ordered a replacement through Amazon at a very low price. The crystal cracked when bumped. Same thing on the second replacement. Toughen the glass, please.
Excellent Watch     On: 2008-01-10

I ordered a Skagen watch for myself and liked it so much (quality, appearance, price) that I ordered one for my husband. He was also pleased. Its a good deal.
Nice Looking, But Just Doesn't Last     On: 2008-01-08

Im not surprised to see that most of the positive reviews here are from fairly new owners of this watch. I bought mine at a retail store and really loved it for the first 6 months until the movement died and I had to send it back to Skagen for coverage under the warranty. After they sent me a new watch (more about that later), it lasted another 8 mos until I thought the battery died. It turns out that the movement broke on the replacement watch as well. Im not even going to try and send it back again. Its a shame because it really is a nice looking watch, it just doesnt last. In addition to the movement problems, my one year-old bent the band back and kinked the mesh, breaking several wires on the side which I found myself always struggling to keep from snagging my shirts.

Now to the "warranty repair": I sent the first watch to the official Skagens North America repair center per the directions on the warranty card. After a month began calling and left 6 messages with their service dept. over a period of 4 weeks attempting to check on the status of the repair. I finally talked to someone through their sales staff who took my info. Fortunately I got a managers name and after two weeks and sending them proof of delivery from DHL twice, got them to admit that they lost my watch. Three weeks later I received a replacement. Now you see why I dont want to go through this again.

In summary, its a nice watch, especially for the low price here at Amazon. It just doesnt last.

This watch is a classic     On: 2007-12-11

Ive had the original that is silver on white for several years. For an inexpensive watch this is something out of the ordinary. Its a worker, a laster, and a happener!
A good watch !     On: 2007-11-22

I bought this watch after my previous watch strap was broken and I was not disappointed at all. This watch is beautiful enough, cheap, the clasp location is easy to set and the watch works ! Finally the delivery was fast (a few days). Definitely a good purchase !
Super Slim!     On: 2007-10-10

A real nice watch for a great price. Very slim and looks great for those of us with narrow wrists. The Skagen design is very classy. This same watch costs 50% more at some stores at the mall, and that was on sale.
Beautiful & Rugged     On: 2007-09-30

This Skagen Mens watch is as practical as it is strikingly beautiful. I have owned it now for several weeks and it keeps perfect time. The ultra-slim profile causes the watch to fit beneath the cuff without any bulge at all, making it suitable for formal events. Water and shock resistant, it really is a great watch.
Beautiful Watch ! ! ! ! !     On: 2007-09-25

This watch is a very thin, spectacular looking watch that looks like it should sell for $5,000.00. The best of all the Skagen models. You wont be disappointed with this watch!

Great Looking Watch!     On: 2007-07-05

I bought this as a gift. The recipient is very happy with the Skagen watch. I admit the price is incredible, but the looks are really sharp. A very stylish piece. Both of us are very pleased. You will not be disappointed.
sleek watch

I have bought the same watch for many relatives and everyone has loved it. It is sleek and beautiful.
Very Nice

I like a THIN watch, and THIS IS THIN! Very clean, simple design. The clasp, while maybe not the greatest quality, is quite satisfactory, and has an extra safety clip that gives a secure feeling. Ive only had this watch 3 weeks, but Ive gotten compliments on it. Its worked fine so far.
Great find

Had been looking for this watch for over one year. Went online and there it was. Amazon was great and received watch in three business days. Will do business again and would highly recommend.
high value     On: 2006-05-24

Very pleased. This watch is stylish, moderately dressy, looks more expensive than it is. Very lightweight and mesh band is soft and comfortable, easy to forget you have it on. Quite thin at 5 mm, adding to the tastefulness. One reviewer of the mesh bracelet said it snags; I dont find that at all. Watch case is polished steel, not brushed; it might scratch/dull unevenly over time but thats hard to predict. Not a lot of contrast between face background (a kind of oyster-white) and the goldtone stick time markers on the face, so buyers with poor eyesight should be aware of that. No second hand, but its a dress watch. Overall, very impressive for the money.
Elegant, but be aware of some features.

It would be hard to find a classier watch. A few things to consider, though, before buying. The picture of the watch sold for $58.99 by Watchsavings on Amazon is not quite accurate. That picture appears to show black hands and markings and a black ring around the watch face. The one I received (which is still beautiful) is gold accents only, no black at all. [Note: the other pages offering this same model watch by other sellers for higher prices DO depict the watch accurately.] If this is what you want, great. If youre getting far-sighted with the passage of years, though, the reduced contrast between gold and the white face will have you peering momentarily to read the hands. Not a major gripe, but some may be bothered more than I. Also, dont overlook that it has no second hand. Having said all this, I still think its a gorgeous watch and its my second Skagen. Will probably get more.

I looked at a number of watches, and this one was the best in terms of looks and value for dollar. I am very happy with it. I also liked the band, but find I have a difficult time occasionally getting it undone.
