On: 2009-09-11I bought these shoes for a rafting trip in the Grand Canyon. I went from the river to hiking rocky paths, sandy paths, down creek beds and back and not one blister, and they provided great support on the rocks as well. Im going to buy another pair. Love em! H2 sandals On: 2009-09-07I really like my black H2 Keen Newport sandals - they are soooo comfy. Ive wanted some for a long time now; I just didnt like the price. Just what the doctor ordered On: 2009-08-25Ive wanted these sandals for such a long time. I finally spent the money and they were everything I hoped for. Extremely comfortable and a perfect fit. Only down side is my feet sweat in them, but I can handle that. My feet got hot!  On: 2009-07-17I bought these to take to Jamaica. I had read all the reviews and they sounded like a great pair of shoes. I put them on and in a few minutes of just standing my feet were hot. I couldnt believe how hot my feet got just standing in one place. I walked back and forth across the room and my feet were cool as long as I was walking. The the footbed of the shoe was hard and slightly pebbley. After I took them off the bottom of my feet were tender. I was a little disappointed in them. Since the shoes were not cheap I decided to return them. That same day I ordered a pair of Teva Omnium shoes. The Tevas arrived a few days latter and I love them. My recommendation is pass on these shoes and for about the same money buy a pair of Tevas. Appreciative On: 2009-07-05I really enjoy my purchase! The keens are wonderful. THe shipping took a little longer than I had planned for, but I am so glad that I made the purchase! Great sandal, great foot support! On: 2009-06-30Love the sandal. Great foot support. I have flat feet and have some arch problems and this sandal makes it possible for me to wear sandals, and not have aching feet, after wearing them. Best all-terrain shoes ever! On: 2009-06-25I bought these shoes for both my husband and myself for a 2-week trip through Costa Rica. They handled hiking through jungles, streams, ocean, rocks, and volcanoes equally well. The toe protection is great to prevent stubbed toes, and in my case made me feel a little bit better about not scooping up a scorpion. Best of all, my feet felt great and I had no blisters, even after days of 5 mile hikes. Theyre not the prettiest shoes ever, but as far as functionality and comfort goes, I will stick with Keens from now on! Newport H2 Keens  On: 2009-06-13I love the color and found the shoe to be very comfortable. I have a bunions and it didnt bother it at all. I have very hot feet and found the shoe made my feet sweat...maybe the more open Keen would be better for hot feet. Great shoe for all age groups! On: 2009-06-11I bought a pair of these shoes for my husband, my toddler and myself for a vacation to Hawaii since we needed something that we could wear most everyday that could go from shopping, to hiking, to wading the ocean. This shoe was perfect!!!!! On our previous trip we bought a cheaper shoe from another online seller and my shoe literally broke the 2nd day into the trip and my husbands didnt last much longer so we were extremely happy that our Keens held up the entire trip. It has now been months since we got back and my toddler and I wear our Keens almost daily. My toddler even thinks she is supposed to use the toe of her shoes to stop her on her bicycle and they still look great. I figure if a 3 year old cant tear up this shoe then it must be indestructable. Ive since bought my 2nd pair and Im going out to find pairs for my other kids for the summer. Also, if you have bad knees then these shoes are great as they really take the impact for you so that your knees wont hurt. I wore these to climb a mountain and I had no knee pain at all which was amazing. Fabulous Shoes!!! On: 2009-06-06After reading all the great reviews, I had to try them. They were exactly what I was looking for, weatherproof sandal, protected toe, and great colors! But after checking around locally, I couldnt find this specific model. So last week I finally made the commitment and purchased them. And boy am I glad I did!! Wow, Fabulous! Many reviewers mentioned how comfortable and flexible they were, but no one, that I read, mentioned the room through the ball of the foot and toes! All too often these days shoes are way too narrow! These are FABULOUS! Buy a pair, I think you will be as happy as the rest of us! Your toes are well protected and the footing is secure. This shoe is replacing my previous Keen Newport H2s. I would highly recommend this shoe to others. Love these Shoes On: 2009-05-15Newport H2 Full Sandal -Ladies These are an extremely comfortable, all purpose sandal if you only want to bring along one pair of shoes to hike, slog in mud, run, dive into the surf, climb rocks, traverse a stream, or just walk around the mall and to be able to just wash them out at night and start anew in the morning. Great shoes-Color way off On: 2009-04-27I ordered the womens Keen Newport H2 in the aqua haze/brittany blue color. The actual color I received was closer to the Process Blue. These are Way brighter. I was expecting a more muted blue. Aside from the misrepresentation of color, (maybe it was my computer screen) the sandals are Great! I normally wear a size 8M,they fit perfectly, but I am a short, wider 8M, so those of slender foot be warned. You can however adjust the fit a little with the elastic tie. They are also very comfortable. Not Disappointing. Comfort & Sharp Looks On: 2009-04-26These are hot looking sandals which earn many compliments. Theyre so cushy-comfortable, with a nice arch support. Great for long treks. I own 3 pair now and Im not sure when Ill be able to stop this habit! Most amazing shoe ever On: 2009-04-25I bought these shoes about a month ago, since Ive had them I have hiked, walked, and even ran in them! They are the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned and even through wearing them all day outside, feet sweating, they keep your feet smelling fabulous. Yes, they look kinda funny, but who cares when youre comfy! So comfortable! On: 2009-04-09I got the Keen Newport H2 in "process blue and yellow". They are so comfortable. I use them as my walking shoes. I normally wear a 7.5 and I bought these in a 7.5 and they fit true to size. Im glad I didnt get a bigger size as some have suggested. I love them! Great sandals! On: 2009-03-29Newport H2 Full Sandal -Ladies They are perfect for hiking and very comfortable. I didnt have any trouble wearing them right out of the box. Very good price too. I saved at least $45 buying them from Amazon.com A+ Sandal, shoe, etc. On: 2009-01-25I originally purchased these for use on a boat - after having been witness to friends slashing the bottom of their foot open on anchors, it was made clear to me how necceseary it was to have closed toe sandals with GRIP that will protect my feet from the anchors, broken beer bottles, etc. I have very wide feet, and these are awesome for me, no blisters on my bunions! On the flip side, my mom has narrow feet, also purchased a pair of these and can adjust to her foot size as well. the bottom of these are very wide - which is great for my shape, and helps for my moms stability when walking. Ive also taken these hiking, running, everything - ive done everything with these shoes, they are sooo sturdy, wet, dry, rocks, anything, these are amazing - if you have any need to protect your feet or if you want a sturdy sandal that molds to your feet, get these! Love these shoes On: 2008-07-29Ive had KEEN Newport H2 sandles in the past and was happy to find them at such a good price - Ive loved these shoes since I bought my first pair and wear them daily in the summer. From swimming in the lake to gardening and canoeing - they work great. I did find that this latest pair fit more snugly than the ones I bought 3 years ago - not sure if thats my feet or the shoes. My old ones are still very functional for everything I do - just got new ones in case I have to dress up. shoes that rock! On: 2008-06-17I rarely buy expensive shoes, and I have never bought shoes online before. I needed a pair of sandals I could hike in. I hate sneakers. I hate socks. These shoes were highly reviewed, so I thought I would try them. The fit is great. The ball of the foot/toe area is quite roomy, but not so loose as to cause chafing. The insole is supportive in just the right places, soft, springy, very nice to walk on. These shoes breath. I was worried that a closed toe would leave my feet hot, but somehow, it feels like theres a breeze blowing through my feet. Also, these shoes are perfectly true to size. I am an absolute 7.5M. 8s are too big, 7s are too small. This 7.5 shoe fits me perfectly. My only regret--theyre really too casual to wear to the office. Fabulous shoe On: 2008-05-22Within two weeks of buying my first pair, I bought two more. A lot of people say to get a half size larger-I purchased my regular size and they were fine. I get a kick out of wearing my brightly colored shoes-they look so cheerful. From what I can tell these shoes are selling like hotcakes so I must not be the only one who really enjoys them. If you have plantar fascitis, these are pretty good support. great shoes On: 2008-05-20These shoes were a bit tight at first- I do have wide feet- and the first few times left me with a couple of blisters, but once they stretched out they are FANTASTIC. I wear them everyday now, and they survived the ultimate test of a day in Disneyworld. I would recommend these shoes to anyone with an active lifestyle, and even if not, just anyone who likes comfortable shoes! Keen Sandal Women's H2 On: 2008-05-03What looks like a geeky sandal is a very comfortable haven for the feet! I am amazed. I do get some "looks" when I wear the Keen sandals (in Mango!) is it the style they envy? Or the color? Either way, you really cant go wrong with these. I read several comments indicating "size" was an issue for some. I wear size 7 1/2....I bought US 7 1/2 M and they fit like a glove. Best of luck...your feet will thank you! azchurchlady Love Them! On: 2008-04-27These shoes are wonderful. I bought a pair for my 3yr old. I figured it was most cost effective. I got 1 pair of shoes that work as 2. I thought they were great looking & chose a pair for myself. I couldnt have made a better decision. I was out in town and a friend said lets go walk. We did. I walked 2 hours in these shoes and was comfortable the whole time. They are also great to go out on the boat and then to dinner after. I keep mine and my daughters at the door so we can throw them on when we leave. They are a great investment, easy and comfortable. Great shoes. On: 2008-03-09I bought a pair of Keens for my trip to Glacier Natl Park. They are perfect for rafting because they have the toe-bumper in the front, so its painless to wedge your feet in the raft. I also hiked for a few hours per day in the shoes, which was also enjoyable, but after a while my arches hurt. They dont have high arch support at all, so I couldnt wear them for too long. My feet got sweaty in the shoes, but they never felt too hot, and with a quick dip in some water, theyre clean again (they also dry in a matter of hours)! They seem to run a bit small, so be sure to try on a few different sizes. The width is great, and the colors are fun. Sometimes sand or pebbles might get into the shoe and it can take a minute to remove (you will probably have to take the shoe off), but its really not a big deal. Overall, Id recommend Keens for their durability and versatility. Great walking shoes On: 2008-01-18I bought the shoes for everyday wear. Ive found them to be quite comfortable. They have even replaced my old walking shoes. Ive comfortably walked 4 miles in these shoes. 9,999 shoes later, I found my love! On: 2007-12-11Ok, I confess, it kills me to spend $50 on shoes. But at 38, and on my feet all day, plus filling in the mid-drift...The shoes I wore in the young hottie days are getting their revenge. Worse yet...at a size 10.5-11 W, I canNOT find shoes to fit. In need of some water wading shoes, I found a purple pair of this model (incorrectly shown as red on this site) that I thought was too "off color" for professional wear, but worthy of play shoes...for a clearance price of $30 comfort to please my desperation, who could deny the deal? SHOOT. I dont care if they had bright flashing fuschia blinkers and a whoopie cushion to boot. These shoes rock. I live 3 hrs from the Birkenstock place I found them in WA, and when I head back that direction, I am clearing the Keen sale shelf, and buying a reg priced pair that is appropriate in style for professional wear. The shoe is kind of wierd looking..but I see Birkenstocks as wierd looking (which didnt work out for me--very painful). If you have plantar faciatis (sp?) problems, here is a house shoe answer. See, I also drop these shoes next to my bed so I can make it to the bathroom in the middle of the night without tearing up my arches.They are SO comfortable. And the shoe is breathable, but not cold, not hot, not prone to stretching with sock on, no sock wear. Its years of shoe nightmares come to an end. I have had em for 6 weeks now, weigh 235 lbs (fluffy amazon chick) and the shoe looks like it will hold its own--wet or dry. A challenge, considering size 6, 110 lb girl shoes are made with the same materials as the larger sizes...like harnessing up a chihuahua the same as a St.Bernard! Great shoes for active lifestyle, worth every penny On: 2007-11-14Friends recommended these after I complained about not finding shoes that worked well and lasted. I about had a heart attack at paying $90 for sandals. Theyre worth every penny and Ive ordered my second pair. I live on a cruising sailboat in the Sea of Cortez, Mexico. My husband and I love to hike and try to hike for two to three hours a day when were in an anchorage-- starting in the water as we wade ashore, across the beach and up to the peak of the nearest hill. Desert hiking, over sand, dirt and rocks of various sizes. In towns, we go all over on dirt and paved roads and sidewalks. Temperatures are typically in the mid-90s. Prior to getting a pair of Keens, Ive never had a sandal or shoe -- even sneakers or hiking boots -- last more than three months; Ive even had them fail on the second day of wearing them -- and these have been name-brand, expensive shoes marketed for this sort of activity. The biggest problem has been that the layers of the sole have separated, although there have been other problems as well. In contrast, my Keen Newport H2s are still wearable after 8 months and about 1,000 miles on them. Thats not a typo -- about one thousand miles (I log our hikes and estimated the town miles). They are starting to show wear in the tread, some stitching is pulling out and the webbing is just beginning to stretch in the heels. Note that while weve been over some rough terrain, I havent taken them backpacking or true rock climbing. Id guesstimate that half my use has been desert hiking, a quarter on beaches and dirt roads and the rest on pavement and concrete. Several things that I like: -- They can go from wading in the water to scrambling over rocks with no problem. They dry quickly and dont cause blisters when wet. -- Heat hasnt caused them to fall apart as has happened with every other brand Ive had (layers of the soles coming apart, etc.). -- Where the stitching pulled out could easily be re-sewn with just a needle and dental floss -- very FIELD REPAIRABLE! -- The toe guard is wonderful. -- The footbed and straps work to give you solid footing and support. -- The webbing does not stretch and cause the fit to become sloppy. -- They hold up well to all sorts of abuse. -- No smell!! But beware: -- They do catch sand and pebbles and you cant easily shake it out without taking the sandals off. However, theyre pretty quick on and off. Any sandal has this problem to some extent. -- Dont wear them in deep, hot sand -- it will enter the sandal and burn your feet. -- Maybe its just my feet, but they rub a little notch in the big toe nail of each foot. Its not painful, but a little strange. -- I had to play around with how tight to cinch up the shock cord for the best fit. Take a little time to get them adjusted to your feet. BOTTOM LINE: These are great shoes for an active lifestyle and can stand up to all sorts of abuse. They last well and are worth their price. the only shoes I buy On: 2007-10-19Shoes are not an easy item for me to purchase. Id rather go to the dentist. Im pigeon toed with wide feet. Most people dont notice because the insert in my shoe corrects my walk. Keens are the first shoes I was able to wear without an orthodic. *now Im a woman whos crazy about shoes. My Newports were a hit as wedding shoes and I was able to use them daily after the big day...just wish they were a little more affordable and available. Cant purchase online..have to make sure they fit just right. Great Product On: 2007-10-09These Keens are a very cool do everything kind of shoe. I actually purchased these shoes for myself after seeing that the mens versions only came in the same boring colors...navy blue, black, grey. Me being extremely secure with my sexuality I decided that I wanted the Process Blue(bright) and that I was willing to wear a womens size to get them. I have 4E wide feet...that is right not one E but 4, however I usually wear a 9 in mens shoes. Well after some trying I found the the womens 11 fits me perfect. After going through all of this I recieved the shoes very quickly and found them to be a bit tight but after a short hike on the Appalachian Trail they settled right in nicely and have been very comfortable especially on the hikes where you have to cross a stream or river and your feet are doomed to get wet and stay that way. So far not a single blister from my neon blue womens Keens on my big fat duck paddle of a foot. Great shoe with great quality. Great treking shoes On: 2006-11-05These shoes are different from anything else I have ever owned. I truely love wearing them. They are comfortable, practical and they make me smile every time I wear them! Order a 1/2 size larger than your usual size and have some fun. nice shoe, but VERY wide On: 2006-08-27Ive been wearing this shoe for several months now, and my only complaint is that its a very wide shoe. So wide, youd think it was unisex sizing. The problem is the footbed itself. Even though you can cinch the upper and the shoe is secure on your foot, you cant cinch it up so your foot cant slide sideways inside it. Otherwise, its easy on/off, secure tread--never slipped on dock yet. And it would be fine for women w/wide feet who would ordinarily buy a mens athletic shoe. Also seems very durable. |
